DAY 1 Flight

DAY 3 Prague – Prague Castle & Lesser Town

Enjoy your first day in Prague by discovering one of the famous sights of Prague, well know from most of the pictures attracting tourist from all over the world to visit the capital of Czech Republic. As the whole Prague is connected with tram network, you will also enjoy a ride on this typical mean of transport to get up to the Castle hill. In your case, the tram will be exclusively reserved for you and on top of that it won’t be an ordinary tram, but historical one. First, you will enjoy a guided tour of Prague Castle and its close surroundings. You will start your excursion in the square between Loreta (baroque monastery with nice chimes) and Černínský palace, the place where the postwar minister of foreign affairs – Jan Masaryk was assassinated. Then you will continue to the Hradčanské Square. In the Prague Castle itself you will visit celebrated St. Vitus Cathedral and discover the Old Royal Palace. You will also stroll in the narrow Golden Lane, famous for picturesque dwellings of the staff and servants of the castle.

Lesser Towns is situated on the slopes and below the Castle. It is beautiful and preserved part of Prague, full of baroque noble palaces, whose owners tried to be as close to the kings as possible. You cannot miss the Church of St. Nicolas and of course Church of our Lady Victorius, where you can admire the Infant Jesus of Prague.

DAY 4 Trip to Kutna Hora

Today, after breakfast, you will be picked up at the hotel to set off a half day guided trip to Kutná Hora. Kutná Hora is an ancient silver mining town, founded in the 13th century. Thanks to its importance and close connection to the Royal court, it use to belong to the wealthiest towns in the country and it is the reason why the town is full of splendid Gothic monuments.

The walking tour through the town includes visit to St. Barbara’s Cathedral with its valuable paintings and also the former Royal Mint – place where the famous Prague groschen used to be produced. On the way back to Prague we will stop by in Sedlec – part of Kutná Hora, where you will visit very a unusual church – Ossuary with interior made of bones and Sedlec Cathedral built in special style combining baroque with gothic principles. Up to our days, Kutná Hora has still preserved its typical medieval layout and let you enjoy the gothic spirit of the town.

DAY 5 Prague – Old Town & Jewish Town (Josefov)

Today, you will continue in discovering the historical heart of Prague – right river bank – The Old Town and the Jewish Town. Old Town belongs to the „must see“ of Prague. It has a somewhat different spirit from the Little Quarter on the opposite side of the river. As you cross the Charles Bridge (one of the famous monument), you will find yourself in the both historical and elegant part of the city, adorned by many splendid buildings in Art nouveau style hidden among baroque churches. Your steps will lead through the cobbled streets along the National Library, Old Market place and Church of St. Salvador to the Old Town Square, where you will enjoy the Astronomical clock and finally climb the Astronomical clock tower to observe the whole Prague.

The rest of the excursion will be focused on the Jewish heritage. Prague has one of the most preserved Jewish quarter in Europe, while the other European Jewish towns were razed to the ground during the World War II. The visit will include interior of all important Synagogues in Prague, The Jewish museum and The Jewish cemetery

DAY 6 Prague – Art and Culture museum and gallery visit

Today’s program provides you with an „art and culture museum tour“. The tour will be dedicated to the Czech culture and will complete the mosaic of the classical sightseeing. Today’s tour is aimed to the Art and culture of late 19th and early 20th centuries in wider historical context.

You will start your guided tour close to the Old Town square, where the museum of Franz Kafka is based. The museum reveals one of the important persons of the turn of the century, who is widely regarded as one of the major figures of the pre-war literature.

Than you will move just few steps further – to the Old Town Square, however several years back in time. In the museum of Alfons Mucha, you will have an opportunity to discover more both from his personal life and his works – well know even behind borders of his country of origin.

The tour will end with the Museum of the Czech Cubism. The exposition will bring you to the turbulence years of the 20th century, when the avant-garde art movement and its leaders decided to turn over elegant lines of the Art Noveau style and introduce something novel and original. In this Museum you can admire, beside fine art, furniture and pottery. On top of that, you can finish the tour in the original Cubist cafe (in the same building) furnished by the renovated period units.

In the evening, board a panoramic ship and fully enjoy the cruise on river Vltava. Dinner is part of cruise and it will be accompanied by music. The cruise will start during the day , but allow you to discover Prague also by night.

DAY 7 Trip to Český Krumlov

Today enjoy a full-day excursion to the medieval Bohemian town of Cesky Krumlov – named a World Heritage Site in 1992 by UNESCO for its historical importance and physical beauty. You will spend time here to explore the narrow cobbled streets, little back lanes, arch covered footpaths, and one of the finest castles in the country.

The castle service provides English speaking guides, who will let you reveal the history of the castle and interiors built in different styles from gothic to the 19th century styles. You can choose from various guided tours – Tour A: renaissance & baroque interiors, Tour B: 19th century Interiors and Tour C: Baroque Theatre. It is possible to mix the tours each with other.

DAY 8 Prague – Vyšehrad

You will enjoy a leisure day today by discovering one of the Prague’s mythical places – Vyšehrad. It is located on the hill opposite to Prague castle hill, where, according to the legends, glory of Prague has been predicted. Vyšehrad is a place of both historical importance and a venue where people of Prague love to spend their leisure time. Famous Church of St. Peter and Pavel and Slavín – a cemetery, where all the famous Czechs were buried (among them are writers, musicians and politicians) is surrounded by gardens in English and French style. From Vyšehrad fortification you can admire breathtaking view of Prague. Despite the beauty and fame of this place, it is in not so touristic and that is also reason why you can really enjoy the atmosphere.

In the evening you will experience a concert in one of the beautiful baroque churches.

DAY 9 Trip to Pilsner – sightseeing and brewery excursion

Today excursion will be dedicated to the typical Czech beverage – beer. In the morning we will be picked up at the hotel and drive around one hour to Pilsnen. Enjoy a short guided tour of the historical center of the city. Afterwards move to the Pilsner Urquell brewery, where the famous beer is produced. The brewery was founded in 1842 and it is the first brewery to produce pilsener blond lager style beer, branded Pilsner Urquell, making it the inspiration for more than two thirds of the beer produced in the world today. You will enjoy the excursion through in the museum of beer and you will also have the opportunity to see, how beer is produced and, of course, to taste it.

DAY 10 Prague – Architectonical tour

Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, has been rated as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe! The stunning Gothic, medieval, and Art Nouveau architecture adorned (?) the city. Today itinerary will show you some new sights along the other, which you have already visited in the previous days; however, from a different point of view, with special emphasis on architecture. You will be provided with a special lecture of development, history and sources, that influenced and formed the styles of very interesting buildings. With a guide focused on architecture, you will visit The National Theatre, the Dancing House, the National Museum, The Main Station, The Municipal house and many other interesting edifices.

DAY 11 Trip to Karlštejn Castle

During this approx. 5 hour excursion, you will discover one of the largest and the most popular Gothic castles in the country. Karlštejn Castle was founded in 1348AD by Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor-elect and King of Bohemia. The castle served as a place for safekeeping the Imperial Regalia as well as the Bohemian crown jewels, holy relics, and other royal treasures. Located about 30 km (19 mi) southwest of Prague above the village of the same name, it is one of the most famous and most frequently visited castles in the Czech Republic. During the guided tour of the interiors of the castle, you will a have a chance to visit the splendid Chapel of the Holy Cross, decorated by gold, jewels and gothics paintings created by medieval painter Master Teodoric.

DAY 12 Final Day

 During the day you will have a great opportunity to discover more from the traditional Czech cuisine – which is not only duck, cabbage and dumplings or „guláš“. In the afternoon you will enjoy Prague Tour in historical cars. You will also enjoy pontoon dinner on Vltava River.
